In 1900 there were 100,000 cheetahs in the world. By 2006, due to loss of habitat and prey, the number of cheetahs has declined to just 12,000. That's why I founded KidsLoveAnimals.com, which is dedicated to educating kids and their families about endangered species. If you love animals, please bookmark this site. In future posts we will take you along on our personal journey to Save the Animals through our KIDSLOVEANIMALS.com DVD series.

I think the people and all the life in Kenya are living difficult lives, I just wish nature will help their situation and not cause them any more problems... :)

Hi Paul,
It's good to see that some rain has fallen and will make things easier on the people and animals of the region.

Keep up the good work.

We have friends who are missionaries in Kenya. They were just telling me about the large numbers of dead wildlife they are finding due to the drought. They are currently trying to get food aid for the people in their area. We should all pray for lots of rain for them. I appreciate your care for the animals.

Hi Paul
So little rain in such a long time. It must be having a devastating effect on the whole country's eco system. I'm not one for prayers, but let's hope they get the relief of some rain soon.

I well remember the anxious days in SA as we waited for the rains to begin in September after the long dry winter months. While I lived there, we went through some quite severe drought years, but never anything as long as this.

It's awful how some have so much that it causes landslide and disasters, and yet others have so little. Nature can be so out of balance sometimes and it makes you wonder how responsible mankind is for this situation.
